Astrology for Healers and Therapists for May 2018

Before I look at this month’s charts I must point out that the interpretation is mainly for therapists dealing with problematic situations.  That is why I seem to emphasise the problem or negative side of life rather than the positive.  Of course the charts indicate a general situation but the leaning must be for those clients or patients who are struggling in some way.

First do please note that the following is using the WESTERN FOUR ELEMENT system based in western magical and astrological understanding.  The individual therapist must make the translation to the Eastern Five Element system that is usual in Shiatsu and Acupuncture theory.  If you have forgotten the explanation about Elemental and Modal make up then do refresh your memory by looking back at the Introduction to Astrology for Healers and Therapists.

I look at the charts for the Sundays in May when the Sun is nearing the mid heaven for that day.  Obviously this is for Haye Mill, so you will have to accept the approximation for your own geographical position but the interpretation should not vary too much from this one.  It is a way of following the general trends throughout the month.  Notice there are 4 Sundays in this month once again.

After so much emotion being expressed at the beginning of last month things died down to an acceptance that was bordering on embracing karma or being fatalistic in outlook. So on to this month.

The week beginning the 6th May shows a bit more movement. Jupiter is challenging the Sun but the Sun has formed a line of ease with Pluto and Neptune.  Neptune challenges Venus and lines of challenge have formed between Pluto and Mercury and between Mars and Uranus.

Cardinal has gained a sign from Fixed and Earth has gained a sign from Water.

It looks as if there is a stirring from the fatalism of the last week to begin to take matters into one’s own hands again. Not much of a change but it is a beginning.

Counsellors – I would think that Clients are likely to take up the gentle challenge this week without being antagonistic. It should be more a move of determination on their part and challenge could prompt them into taking more responsibility for their own actions once again.

Healers – Earth energy is still dominant in the chart. It is likely to bring more upset this week though rather than indicate being a font of healing energy.  Watch out for the dearth of Air.

The week of the 13th May sees Saturn seemingly isolated, Mercury and Uranus sitting atop of one another, and the line of ease between Jupiter and Pluto now gone.  So has the line of ease between Neptune and the Sun, and the challenge between Neptune and Venus.  Venus has in fact formed a line of ease with Mercury and Uranus.

The Modal scene is unchanged but Fire has gained a sign from Earth.

The need to take some kind of action has increased especially as it is likely that this will also be the best form of defence – attack!

Counsellors – Clients are in the mood to throw their weight around. Be careful how you deal with that one.

Healers – The dearth of Air and dominance of Cardinal is setting things awry still. Just as I said last month, patients may not be able to ‘stomach’ situations and cause all manner of psychosomatic complaints.  The Stomach and Spleen meridians will have to be closely watched.

The week beginning the 20th May brings a radical change.  Mercury and Uranus and no longer conjunct and both have moved into Taurus.  Mars has moved into Aquarius and forms the base line with the Moon to a T-Square upon Uranus.  Pluto is now the one in the cold rather than Saturn as Saturn forms a line of ease with Mercury.

Fixed has gained 4 signs whilst Cardinal has lost 3 and Mutable 1. Fire has lost 2 signs whilst Earth has gained 1 and Water has also gained 1.

A sudden and drastic stop to all proceedings has taken place. There appears a need to lead from the front but it could come across more like the proverbial bull in the china shop.

Counsellors – Bashing heads and brick walls comes to mind. That and run away whilst you can!!  You will find your own resources straining to keep your professional cool.  Just remember it will soon pass.

Healers – Such imbalance of too much Earth and Water with so little Fire and Air will lead to mud, mud and more mud. Don’t try to fight the imbalance.  Take a back seat for a while if possible.

The week beginning 27th May brings little relief as yet. The Sun has moved onto Gemini.  Mercury has moved its allegiance from Saturn to Pluto whilst Uranus no longer assist Venus.  Venus now eases Jupiter but challenges Saturn.

The Modal situation eases with Fixed losing a sign to Mutable but Fire has lost its only sign, Earth has lost one as well whilst Water and Air both gain one.

Everything will appear mixed up both with regards to emotions and motivation. Talk about being in two minds!  No matter what the core reasoning individuals should come through all this in a better frame of mind.

Counsellors – Not much will made sense. Do your best to clarify each point but don’t expect miracles.

Healers – The dearth of Fire is going to be a bit of a headache. After last week you might feel as if you are getting nowhere but there is a little bit of wriggle room if you look around.

Sometimes Life seems not worth living, but if you can take a step backwards you might be pleasantly surprised?
