Wonder of Nature
This is a wonderful time of the year. There is an abundance of life all around bursting with colour in bloom before the green takes over the hedgerows and woodland. Everything and everyone is so busy making the best of the light, warmth, time and energy. Perhaps too busy, so just look at some of the wonders to be found at the Mill.
There was also a Lightning storm last week in the middle of the night that was awesome. I have NEVER, EVER experienced anything on that scale approaching the display of raw and overwhelming abundance of energy. It was reported that there were approximately 130 sheet lightning strikes a minute and it lasted for nearly an hour. It was a continuous ear cracking time with the sky lighting up all around. The down side of that was a surge of water over the waterwheel that probably caused a capacitor burn out and I had to shut everything down at 1.30 in the morning! Such are the perils of home electricity production.
Need I preach or sermonise when Nature does it for me? I urge you to take stock and stop now and again to wonder and to listen to the voice all around you – the wonder of nature.
Did you realise that I have a second blog. I sometimes take a swipe at the Church as the blog is not constrained to the Charity. This month it is a reflection on the leadership of the C of E. Do have a look and click here.
Have a great Solstice.
