Hi Everybody
A time to look back and a time to look forwards – the traditional time of reflection and New Resolutions.
As some of you realise, next year there are going to be a few changes. After 44 years of being the Administrator of the Charity I am stepping down. I cannot continue clambering over the waterwheel or gearbox, let alone help with the wood management. Hence Suzanne and I will be moving to Tavistock March/April time. It will be quite a shock to the system (mine) to get used to a postage size dwelling and garden after the three-bedroom cottage and 13 acres of the Mill but thought must be given to my decreasing mobility and lessening ability.
Obviously it will be a shock to the system (Charity) as well, as jobs need to be reallocated and reassessed. The counselling work of the Charity will still be continuing but at the moment it looks as if Jim will officially be doing the lion share of the maintenance – he does this anyhow! There will be changes, but that is Life. I will keep you posted.
As an aside – the Christmas gremlins left us alone this year, at least as far as the waterwheel and power generation was concerned. In fact, we have only had to replace a waterwheel bucket in the whole of last month. That must be a record of some kind.
The usual updates are there – Planting by the Moon and Astrology for Healers and Therapists.
Happy New Year – and may it be a peaceful one.
John
