December Newsletter – Its even harder

Hello everyone.

Sorry for the tardiness this month.  So many things to do and not enough time to do them.

Well good news and bad news.  Good news is that all those batteries look to be going to Finland to be recycled.  The firm that quoted us £5,000 to take them away are prepared to only charge us the transport costs (plus a few odds and ends) to do the same job.  That should be in the region of £500, and our appeal might well cover that amount.  We have gathered them together on the car park, all 387 cells ready to go. So it may seem a bit environmentally unfriendly to have to transport them to Finland, but the alternative is even more environmentally unfriendly.  So the best of a bad choice.

The bad news is that the Christmas water wheel gremlins are likely to strike this year.  There is a most ominous rumbling coming from the tractor gear box, and no matter how I try to tweak things the resulting power production is less than expected for the rate of water passing over the wheel.  Drat and double drat.  Can it hold out until the New Year?  Watch this space.

The usual updates are there this month.  Planting by the Moon and Astrology for Healers and Therapists.

Have a smashing Christmas and see you in the New Year.

Blessings

John
