October Newsletter – signs

Hello Everyone

Ever since there have been people there have been people who wanted to know the future, and sometimes for the most laudable reasons.  It isn’t always ‘fortune telling’, but it is nearly always a matter of looking for ‘signs’.

Some signs are well and truly grounded in science, such as weather predictions.  We might moan about the inaccuracies, but forecasting is improving all the time.  Cloud formation and the like are all signs about the future.  Folk lore is full of weather predictions albeit less accurate and proven, but even so there is more than a grain of truth in them.  So, for example, “a red sky at morning is a shepherds/sailors warning”, or “When the dew is on the grass, rain will never come to pass”.

Less proven are the observations such as this year of a great harvest of berries or acorns leading to a hard winter in a few months.  Could be true, or might not be the case.  Time will tell. As for Climate change?  Just don’t ask Trump.

Even more questionable are the forecasts or foretelling based on interpreting signs using intuition or psychic sensitivity – tea leaves, dreams, cards, entrails, drugs and all that kind of thing.  The jury is out with regards to these methods, generally speaking, but sometimes the accuracy is inexplicable.

Don’t forget the prophecies and sacred writings.  I have cobbled together a commentary on the Book of Revelation.  It was the most viewed page of the Charity website for many months until the Astrology pages drew more clicks. Both about signs and interpretation for the future.

One sign you cannot miss, due to a complaint from a walker who couldn’t read signs, is a recent addition constructed by Jim. Your future is assured – if you follow that sign!

The usual updates are there.  Planting by the Moon and Astrology for Healers and Therapists.

Every blessing for October
